My reply, to Ron, will probably not get attached, below, but, the
Cliff's Notes version said that I saw no evidence of shiney-metal
fracture sites/zones, in the trunk bracing, which might indicate that
they went south, when Boydster pried-open the trunk.
Then, I mentioned that I DID see a fracture-site, but on the Passenger's
side interior door handle, where one of Boyd's goons actually
torqued-off the lever, while reaching thru the lowered window,
attempting to open the FROZEN-shut door, from the inside of the door!

Ron, I looked for failure-surfaces on the trunk (where metal gets
torn/ripped, it should be shiney) and have not seen any evidence of
bright metal edges.
The trunk stayed shut, cause it couldn't stay up!
I'm surprised that the hood moves!
I wonder if anyone tried to close the hood, after it was raised,
initially???
Have you seen any images of it, with the hood down, AFTER the unveiling?
The hinges HAVE to be in shitty condition.
SPEAKING of failure/fracture sites/surfaces, I have not yet mentioned to
anyone, that I noticed the "condition" of the passenger-side interior
door handle, & it's MISSING its lever!
And, if you look semi-closely, you'll see that IT has shiney-metal,
where the lever used to attach to its inner-base, meaning, that one of
Boyd's goons tried to open the door, from "inside:, & promptly
torqued-off the door lever!!!!!

Neil -
One of my theories on the condition of the trunk support bracings is that
when the Boydster couldn't get the trunk open on Friday afternoon, he called
in one of his goons to use brute force to get it open. The weakened braces
gave way eventually. Or course, if he had known that the lock button was all
that was needed to release the trunk, things might've been different. I've
gotten into a number of previously-unopened junkyard trunks with that tidbit
of knowledge.
It was curious that the trunk remained closed the entire weekend.
