----- Original Message ----- Thanks, to Brent Burger, I've got a check sent out to his shop, that removed his 58 DeSoto's 2.76 open-rear-end third member (to replace it with a lower ratio diffie) ! Gonna get me some of that sweet mega-mileage per gallon, that the CHRY's keep bragging about! Horrie will still SOUND good, at idle, though! He'll be sleep-walkin, at 80, now. Neil Vedder ************************************************************* Neil, Just to make sure we are on the same page, that 2.76 did not come out of the DeSoto. It came out of my 66 Coronet. This is where Bob cautioned to check w/ interchange books or others more knowing to make sure it would work. I believe it will, but am not an expert. I know beyond a doubt a 58 DeSoto is the same, but before we get ourselves into something too deep, I want to make sure we are working from the same sheet of music. This is an original 1966 3rd member.
