there is a 58 Eldorado that suffered the same- it comes to one of my
cruise nights quite often, it was bought by the parish for the priest,
later that year [58] a few members of the church felt "offended" by the cars
pointy appearance, so in 59- the fins were removed.... still in its
original paint, you can see a slight diff in the color of the upper qtrs where
it was blended a year after it was built.
pretty cool though to give a priest a sporty 2dr th and not a sedan
deville or something
