Mark: radio model 918 is the sig-seeker for Dodge & CHRY; never heard of 842; maybe it's for PLY. I think that the model 918 HR is the one which is wired for the HiWay HiFi. I have the 918 in my car. Love it. But, you absolutely can NOT run the radio, without the engine running.
