Yes, Neil is right.  The hose can explode after a while and coat your
freshly repainted engine compartment with power steering fluid
(especially if the filler plug vent is plugged).  If it happens while
your engine is hot it looks like Special Forces just laid down a couple
of dozen smoke grenades.

You can probably guess how I know this.

A problem definitely can occur when HEATER hose is mistakenly installed 
on a P/S application!
