We had a 1958 Impala Conv. with the right rear seat side panel having
a different color anodized insert from the left side. We didn't notice
it for 2-3 years.
And working in a VW dealership, I laid my drop-light on the carpet and burned a hole in it. Right under the drivers feet. I took a Mudguard and cut out the Wolfsburg Crescent and trimmed the carpet for it to fit. Looked good and no one outside of the shop ever knew, If it ever got to a judging, you can hear him now saying "I bought it new and that's the way it came!" One day in 1960, he came by the house with a brand new Dodge that had just been delivered from the factory. There was different model outside trim on one side as compared to the other. In the interior, the door panels on the passenger side were white while the drivers side was black. It seems like some inspector in the factory should have noticed. Now you have an argument for restoring one with different trim on each side - Bill K. ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go tohttp://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
