by now i've had close to 50 57-8 plymouths, still have 13 of them, had 4 59
plymouths, still have 1, and 4 59 dodges, still have 2....
the grey or blue-ish trunk underside is the norm on an orig 57/8
plym. every 59 plymouth and dodge i've had has a body-colored trunk
underside. that was seen on a 19xxx mile coral 59 belv, my 50xxx mile 59
fury which is black, a 59 s/f copper color under horrible repaints, and a grey
59 savoy.
both CRLs are body color under the trunk, 1 is a TX survivor, the other
repainted green, but underside of trunk is lt pink like the 2nd tone of orig
body..... as for the 2 coronet sedans, i cant recall....
i also cant recall what the underside of my 59 firesweep was... i have a
feeling most 59's were body color unlike 57/8s
the only one that broke the mold was a real late production LP1L 4drsedan
savoy with a body-colored [all black car] trunk underside.... and it was not a
repaint car- had 43xxx miles, 1-owner.
