I did clean the original switch, and got another ten years out
of it before it shorted out.. I haven’t
touched the replacement switch yet, but plan to keep it as a spare if it can be
brought back.

57 Dodge switch is the same one used on the 57 Plymouth. 58 is different.
The
chances are it just needs a good cleaning. Fairly easy. Have you tried doing it
yourself ?

Hershey, and it’s as bad as the one I want to replace.
