the ignitor II gives a little more dwell, for performance apps... if you
have a stock or mild cam, the std ignitor is fine. i've installed it in
many customers' cars, and have it for 2 of mine as well- seems to be reliable-
more so than the foreign mopar ECU's.
always be prepared- points will never leave you stranded- as long as you
have a matchbook or file... EI quits with no warning- but that's the trade-off
for efficiency of EI
use it and don't really worry much about failure!
the pertronix is totally under-cap, just extra wires leaving the
distributor-
i've also used the mallory conversion and like it- its
essentially an optic controller like the mallory unilite or GM
optispark.
