Well, the 'highly-acclaimed' Duffy's doesn't seem to have confirmed that
this car has manual brakes
and manual steering, or declare any-much about this "older restoration's
" mechanical condition.
I would prefer to buy a car from a long-time private owner; they tend to be honorable and have a personal interest in their car going to a good new-owner.At the least, they should be able to discuss and document the upkeep and maintenance of their car, because its primary consideration should be in its driving condition, rather than how pretty its paintwork might be. How dose this one look?I am counting on candid replies :-) The underside will need to be detailed and it is a bit rough, and it has had a small bit of rust repair in the rear quarters, I am asking what and how it was repaired. It is not too far from me and after I get the input form you guys I think I may drive down to see it for myself...I am also looking at two 56 Desoto's and a 55 Imperial...The 55's would need to be upgraded to 12volt as I want to add AC. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170280773527 <http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170280773527>************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go tohttp://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1 <http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1> ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
