I was told it is for
sale for $19,950.00...
I would need to redo the
brakes and add a two place master cylinder that I already have, re-detail the
engine bay, restore the carb, wet sand the paint and detail the underside,
upgrade to 12volt add the ac, and buy WWW radials, install a new exhaust system,
flush the tranny & rear end and cooling system and that should bring it
to what I would need it to be....I also have all but the steering box to upgrade
it to PS...
That all said, is a car
like this with a bit of rust repair over the fender skirts worth $15,000
/$18000.00 offer?
A 29000 mile car non PS,
PB...
I have seen others some
a bit nicer some not for the $25 / $30,000 range.
There is a nice '55 with
PS & PB and a continental kit with an asking price of
$26.900...
And a 56 Desoto 4door an
AACA Senior winner for someplace around that $20 / $30,000 with a very high BIN
of $34,000.00....
Anyone know these
cars?

Duffy's Reserve amount was not met, so I don't know what they
were asking 'for' the car.
I agree that Duffy's would be one of
the most respected commercial dealers; I just thought that
relatively very little information was provided by Duffy's, regarding the
car and its history, including the not-small-matter of
disclosing/acknowledging that the car has manual brakes and
steering.
The absolute value of the car resides in its mechanical and
physical condition in relation and comparison to its selling price, and
I don't think that we know what Duffy's (marked-up, obviously) selling
Reserve on the car may have been.
I would think that Duffy's Reserve
would be around $12K- 15K (depending upon what they paid for the
car, or their selling commission, if the car is being sold on
consignment).
