Who would've thought
that watching Home Alone from 1990 would've led to me finding info about
Christine...
The link: the
scary-looking neighbor in Home Alone was played by Roberts Blossom, who played
George LeBay in the Christine movie.
As I continued
reviewing the cast info from Christine, I was interested to see that Robert
Prosky, who played Will Darnell, died earlier this month (apparently my head was
in the sand to have missed that announcement; of course he was better known for
more memorable roles, such as one of the the Sgts. in Hill St.
Blues). Then there's the dude who played Arnie's dad (Robert Darnell)...he
died in 1991. I was surprised to see Kelly Preston, who played Dennis's
g/f, has been active in recent years, including Sky High.
The most interesting
thing I found is that Stephen King has a new novel to be released in 2009:
"From a Buick 8." And golly, gee, that story takes place in PA and
involves an old relic car with some dark secrets. Sound familiar? I
haven't read an SK novel in many years, but I may actually try to read the Buick
novel.
Apparently SK has
another car-based novel also to be released in 2009: "Dolan's
Cadillac."
Both of SK's new
works already have screenplays in progress, with Dolan's Cadillac already listed
with a cast of actors.
