Off-idle stumble issues are also affected by the relationship
between the primary throttle plate and the idle transfer slots, located
above the mixture screws, in the carburetor base plate. With the throttle
plates at idle, just the right amount of the slot needs to be uncovered
for things to work right, too much or too little and there will be a flat
spot when the throttle is opened. If one googles the words"off-idle
