Re: [FWDLK] DOOR HANDLE REMOVAL TOOL

the removal tool for our cars seems to no longer be available... anywhere... but the DID make one, at one time... i have it- it has the typical wire clip removal end for GM/ford and the other end has the 9/16-ish slot with the slight 90deg bend upward to push the square clip aside and allow the handle to be pulled off...  the tool is very simple to make... most of the time i dont even bother digging it out, or if its at the other end of the garage- a piece of sheetmetal any width with a kick bent at the end with a pair of pliers is al you need.
maybe i'll market the removal tool here..  any takers? heat it up and quench it and its a "hardened tool" now

I've never seen a commercially available tool for our 55-59 interior door handles. My recommendation is to fabricate the tool based on the illustration in the 57-8 Plymouth shop manual. It's the best alternative to the original pliers-type tool (KD435), which is no longer available and hard to find.
