Huge difference, '55 is six volt, must have heavier
wire, rookie move to think less voltage requires lighter wires. That plus
the '57-'59 was a different body style, so it wouldn't have the same things in
the same places.
Fortunately haven't had to replace a harness.
Isn't there a place in Rhode Island that makes them to order?

I'm not sure if there is any real difference between '55 and
'57-59 harness'.
If not, a good source is Greg Leggatt.
He offers:
57-59 Plymouth and Dodge
57-66 Chrysler and 57-65 Imperial
These are hand made with original type fasteners and wires, I
think.
Call and ask if he can help you in your application. Anyone else in the
ranges above, make note and save this as a resource.
Top quality harness' and good service. Contacts are:

I don't know quite where to look. I need a
replacement harness for my 1955 Belvedere dashboard. The original wiring
is the old cloth wrapped wires that have deteriorated and are shorting against
each other. The cloth is so fragile that the more I work to tape or
repair it, the more it falls apart. Summit has only late model stuff,
and another has only 20's and 30's wiring. Is it "Year
One?"
