i work for PHI [pepco holdings- serves 3 states as Delmarva power, Pepco, and Atlantic City Electric] as a polyphase fieldman, part of my responsibilities include revenue recovery and diversion remediation.... anyway- it doenst make it to the news, but we have found numerous cases of human remains in our underground vaults [Wye netwroks], up on poles on rural roads [7.2 kV hits] as well as next to poles lopping off a measly #8 downground, but in the process opened the ground to a street pot, creating a floating leg of anywhere from 120-240>earth [or through the perp]
i agree- the cleanup is far better than wasting taxpayers money on legal battles! and then all we need is a few pickles, bugs, or small section of lap bus- as they obviously didnt make off with the product!
another thing- the gypsies and other select groups- stake out homes for sale that may be empty- break in, and cut out copper piping- happened a few tows away closer to the city. if only they focused their energy on finding and working at a job, instead of stealing for drug $ and waiting for a gov't check in the mail, at our expense...
