No matter the brand, the front and rear shocks of
our '57-61 Forward Look cars absolutely WILL NOT INTERCHANGE. They
have totally different attachments on their ends and the front shocks are
approximately HALF of the compressed /extended lengths of the rear
shocks.
Someone is reading the NAPA book
incorrectly.

KG4507 converts to NAPA number RR94050 which they state can also be used
on he rear. They're under 20 bucks each. NAPA offers a Sensa-Torc rear shock,
NS54896, which are under 100 bucks for a pair. They are usually used on cars
that haul a trailer and such, but may be another choice if the standard shock
isn't heavy duty enough.
