I’ve got pix around somewhere of Ricky Nelson in his 1957 Plymouth
Belvedere convertible without SporTone. It was a dark color in B&W
magazine pix. The story was it was bought for him after he got a speeding
ticket in his Porsche for street racing in Hollywood.
Whether he also had a 1958 I’m not sure. After all, $3 grand ain’t
much in those days to a teen heartthrob. The Adventures of Ozzie and
Harriet were big on TV, Ozzie drove an Imperial convert, and of course Ricky
sang at the end of each show.

Subject: [FWDLK] 58 Fury Convertible
Ricky Nelson was said to own the only 58 Fury
Convertible built especially for him by Chrysler. It was black, and pictures
have popped up from time to time. Anyone know if this was the real deal or just
a Belvedere convert some dealer trimmed out as a Fury? Dick
