Yep; that's what I've got in my car; replaced the OEM air-cooled guy with a liquid (water/anti-freeze) cooled T/F, and with an air-cooled P/F torque converter (it has the cooling-ears on its cover). The trannie's been upgraded for higher shift points, which comes in handy, along with his worked distributor (6 Initial, 27 Mechanical, and 16 Vacuum = 49 degrees total), and with his 2.76:1 rear-gear ratio (max MPG). No way a 200 rpm increase in torque converter stall speed will make up for that. I've had both a PF and TF in my 56 Dodge. The TF is MUCH faster off the line! A P/Flite is essentially a T/F, but without a 1st gear. Neil Vedder On 4/28/2013 10:26 AM, Brent Burger wrote:I did not know this ! TF's were app'd behind slant sixes.
