Front door only power window switches were not available after '56.
Starting
in '57 only 4-door setups were available. Ron Front-only power windows continued into the late 50's (and beyond?) to accommodate 2 door sedan "Club Coupes" with fixed rear windows and the 2-door Suburban wagons with non roll-down back-seat windows. Power windows were pretty much found only on the higher priced cars at the time and any power windows on a lowly Dodgewere a tad on the rare side. But since all the magic stuff to do them were in the corporate parts bins why not spread them around and make a few extra dollars. It was easier to get the buyer of the more popular, mid-size cars to pop for half a set than it was to get them to buy a whole set; at least that was the logic behindit. Overall I don't know how well it played out as I do not believe thefront only option lasted all that long. But some did go for the half sets asyour car and attest to. Seems really strange to have only front windows powered. Will send pic later hopefully ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1Help the Forward Look with every eBay purchase by starting your search here:http://www.ForwardLook.net/eBay Help the Forward Look with every Amazon purchase by clicking here: http://www.ForwardLook.net/Amazon --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
