I had one too, a Motorola. It came in my 65 Dodge Coronet 500 when I purchased it in 1970. When I sold that car after 11 years, I moved it to my 56 Olds. And when I sold the 56 Olds after 28 years, I moved it to the basement, for some future application. Both of the above cars only had a single speaker output. The reverb was used to power a speaker in the rear package shelf, to give a "stereo" balance between front and rear. It went "boing" too, and I think the "boing" got more noticeable over the years. I suspect the spring in the unit got softer, sagged, and bounced more over bumps.
