Just curious if this car had a respray at some point. Inside of trunk lid is body color. Also, overspray seems to be present. Isn't trunk lid interior supposed to be a grayish color ?

I recently acquired the attached '59 Sport Fury from the Sutter Car Collection in Reed City, Michigan. I had been searching for a Chrysler product that was produced in my birth-year, and I knew as soon as I saw this Sport Fury that this was the car I'd been looking for.

The car was purchased by Jerry Sutter in 1976, with 38,824 miles on it.  Between 1976 and 1992 there were 3 oil changes but less than 400-miles added to the odometer. The mileage is now 39,202. It was obvious this car and the entire Sutter collection sat in climate control for the past 30-years, until the family decided to auction the collection recently..

Working on this car to get the fuel and braking systems flushed out and back to spec has been a breeze.  Nuts and bolts are not seized at all, which is so sweet. In the glove box was the Owner's Manual and Build Sheet (attached).  What a time-capsule!
