Re: {Chrysler 300} SMS experiences

15 yrs ago when I was building my 1970 Hurst Convertible Tribute, I contacted them about getting new Stock White Door Panels and Rear Panels for the 300. They gave me a 6 month time frame and it took me almost 2 yrs to get my new Panels. They looked good when they arrived but then I had to take my old Door Panels to an upholstery shop to have the top part of the old Panels (how they hang on the door) and pay to have the Panels put together in order to hang the Panels on my doors. Also, on the back Panels for the Convertible the arm rest with the ashtray are molded and they couldn't do those. I think at the time, I paid them around $1000 as I said, it was at least 15 yrs ago. The Door Panels came out nice but I don't think I would deal with them again. They always had excuses as to why they couldn't complete my order. That's my experience with them. GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Keith,

SMS has a great selection of fabrics, will do custom grain and color on leather to match your original and does things like door panels. They are pretty quick on materials that are in stock but slow on making up door panels. I live on the West Coast and stop by at least once a year. You may need to call if your order is stalling out.

This email is from an external source.

SMS is usually very good and worth the wait. I only have had positive experiences with bizarre orders.

I’m not sure that helps. I have a 64 GT Hawk myself. Although it has a red interior that is original and perfect (luckily).
