
Henry – I’m sure that when you say ‘torch’, you are referring to a flashlight. I would certainly have reservations if someone held an open flame under my car to do an inspection. I’m sure that’s what you would advise your kids to do before buying a used car. None of the above gets a mention on the auction website. Not even photos underneath. I only bought my 300C sight unseen because everything needed doing, it was cheap, and I wanted a resto project. Didn’t get any surprises. Unfortunately, my friend, the late Mick Maxwell got caught importing a shiny red 300D which had bad paint/bodywork and a chassis made of swiss cheese. Buyer beware. Cheers Henry .
