Forwarding this message from George regarding paint:

Recently, there have been questions about the availability of the "red"
paint that is used on wheel covers and ram tubes. I have contacted the
manufacturer and the NAPA and the Martin Senour paint number has been
changed to a NAPA inventory number instead of the M.S. number. The old
number was 7956, it is now NAPA 635 (Buick Red Engine H.T. Paint). Many
NAPA
warehouses have the paint in inventory all across the U.S. May not be on
the
shelf at NAPA stores, but can be ordered thru your local dealer.

and
bushing) and shoes for the parking brake?

As always,
Appreciate it

Hi Myles.

I do believe Gary Goers sells the necessary bushings. He is currently on
the road, not expected back for another week or so. There might be other
sources - try calling Rare Parts in CA at 1 800 621-2005. If they have
it,
the price will be reasonable.

As far as ebrake shoes, I use Andy Bernbaum. www.oldmoparts.com and (617)
244-1118 in MA . There's a core charge so don't throw the old ones away !

John

It's the November 2001 issue, but I don't recommend anyone buy a back
issue.
There are some mistakes, but, most seriously, the majority of the article
gives the clear impression that the feature car is a 300C. She's a D.
Also, there's a snide remark aimed at "sad 300-style Chrysler Cordobas of
the seventies", which can only mean the 1979 300. I like the 1979 300 and
so the dig didn't impress. It seems to me that magazines like this should
ask the owners of specialist cars to write the articles. I could have
written a good factual article about this car and it's sisters. Overall,
I
was rather disappointed with the article but I didn't complain because,
too
late, it was already published. Pete Grist, the Chrysler club president
in
UK, phoned Classic American to voice his own negative feelings toward the
article. On the plus side there's good photography. 'Classic & Sports
Car'
magazine did a better job with their article (entitled 'Shine on you Crazy
Diamond') on the car in April 2001.

Richard.

English magazine "Classic American" Nov-Dec 2001 issue has a five page
article on the 57 and 58 300's.
Just in case any of ya missed it!

Yes I agree there are number of mistakes in the article, but it's still
nice
to see these magazines recognizing how special the 300 series car is.Nice
pics too. Back issues available at www.classic-american.com

Thanks,

A few months ago, a NOS reservoir for a 65/66 C-body sold on eBay for
$490.00. There were 38 bids. Must be a rare item.
