Gary and anyone else:

The club was given a deal through Dave Stragand, webmaster of
www.forwardlook.com who ordered only enough for the paid orders he
received. Presumably, Gary, you did not place payment for the model, or
it
would have been shipped a couple of three months ago. Forwardlook is out
of
stock and does not plan to place the kind of quantity order that got him
to
the position to offer the deep discount again. In other words, you will
have to order the model elsewhere. They are in toy stores and they are
all
over the internet including on eBay. I'm sure you will find one but
probably not at the same low price.

Good luck,
Wayne

Hi all,
Just got my new front and rear springs for my '56 from Eaton Detroit
through
the 300 Club's special pricing arrangement with them. Both pair totaled
$322
(plus S/H) versus $489 (plus S/H) for a savings of $167. That pays for
membership for the next eight years at the current dues rate !! What a
Club benefit!!
They arrived about 10 days after placing the order with George Riehl.
What
service. Thanks George, you made it easy.

John Cote

Subject: The Truth about the Fake "9/11 Automotive companies donations"
emails

By now everyone has gotten the "What auto compaines donated for the 9/11
attacks" and then goes on to list all the major manufactuers and what they
supposedly donated, point being that only the major US compaines kicked in
anything... but heres the real kicker. ITS NOT TRUE.

The email starts like this:
------
"After seeing a short news listing on "CNN Headline News" regarding Ford
and
GM's contributions to the relief and recovery efforts in New York City and
Washington D.C., I was prompted to see what the other automotive companies
were contributing. I have never worked for an automotive company -- nor
has
anyone in my family. It is, however, the prominent industry here in
Michigan. I also feel it is important to know which companies are there
for
us in a crisis.

I went to (the news, press release and philanthropic areas of) each of the
companies web sites. If the company had several sites, I tried to visit
them
all. Additionally, I visited the leading news and automotive sites. As of
today, one week since the attacks, this is what I have found: "
------

Well, it turns out its FALSE. But as we all know by now, once it makes it
thru the email chainletter circles it automatically becomes truth.

I have a step by step breakdown of what each company ACTUALLY donated and
the truth behind the email on my site. http://www.scatpack.com I borrowed
heavily from an article that was done by Woman Motorist magazine (hm..
takes
a woman to bring out the truth i guess). It seems almost everyone helped
out. No matter what country they are based in.

Now I doubt my email will be forwarded to everyone you know like the
original was.

Subject: Chrome needed for '63 300 Convertible

Hi,

I could use the following (3) chrome pieces for my '63
300 Conv. These are the chrome pieces that surround
the windshield on the inside.

There are two vertical pieces and one horizontal piece.
I think the part numbers are:
2244305 Horizontal piece
1963346-7 Vertical pieces

The hardtop pieces will not work because the header on
the convertible is about 4-5 inches wide and the
hardtop is only 2-3 inches wide.

I am looking for good used quality.

300ly,
Mark Lindahl
Barrington, IL
