i am in the process of putting back together a 57 300 c...luckily the
person
i purchased the car from spent 20+ years gathering parts.

question of the day: what type of adhesive does one use to glue the
plastic
300 gizmos to the chrome housings without mugging them up?

want of the day: 1957 left side tail light housing (that big chrome
jobbie).

another want of the day: the chrome ring around the rear license plate
hole...do any other mopar cars of that era have the same plane jane ring?

have available if someone really really needs it: complete grill

enough for the day.

thanks

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find front
suspension
rebuild kit for my 65,300, I also including in that kit should be change
out
parts from drums
to disc brakes plus what I should pay for something like this. I am also
looking for aftermarket quarter panels both sides for the same car. I am
not
to worried about show quality on the panels because this car is my daily
driver.

does anyone know when is Chryslers at Carlisle? I hope I did not miiss it.

Thanks for your help!

Wes Vanaman

Oh, by the way, visited the body shop my kid went to for some work
on his car. There is a 65 300 currently being redone at that shop.
The MAJOR item I spotted was the aftermarket A/C. Anyone know
where a 65 chrysler parts car might be found with A/C???
Or the parts for factory A/C, seems since this car is in parts
right now might the time to see if the owner is interested in
getting the A/C right.

Thanks

Hi Wes,

A good source for complete front suspension rebuild kits is PST
 www.p-s-t.com )

As far as changing the 65 Chrysler to front discs, best way to go is find
a
70's full size Chrysler ( not Imperial ! ) such as a Newport, or New
Yorker, or 300, equipped with disc brakes, and take EVERYTHING from that
car, including master cylinder, both brake lines from master to
proportioning valve, the proportioning valve itself, and both spindles and
lower ball joints, complete. Just bolt it on and go. Of course you will
need 15" rims to go along with the disc brakes. It is my experience that
any
1970, 1971, 1972 full size Chrysler is a suitable donor. A good source
for all this stuff would be Murray Park ( mbpark@xxxxxxxxxx)

Aftermarket quarter panels ? no such critter. You'll need to find a donor
car with good quarters.

Chryslers at Carlisle = July 12 thru 14th

John

Subject: Oil pump removal

My service manual says I can remove the oil pump and screen from the side
of
the motor and NOT have to remove the pan? Is that right?

I am getting a drastically reduced oil pressure after the motor warms up
and
need to check the pump and screen before I consider looking at main
bearings
and the like. After warmed up the gauge indicator sits right on the lower

limit line of the "normal operating range", where when first started up,
rises to the upper mid-range portion of the gauge.

It's been doing this for some time now and I am just getting a bit
concerned. I use SAE 10/40 oil and changing the oil made no difference.
Any hints or suggestions?

Good mornin'. Recently removed the dealer-installed air conditioning from
my C coupe. Wondered if anyone could use some or all of the setup?

Its a Vornado under-dash unit with
compressor, hoses, tubes, condensor, etc.

Also have a footwell airbox and firewall heater/fan box for same.

Thanks!
