Hi Jim McGowan,

Finally  - a carb expert on the list !

How do you decode the 1960/ 61 Carter AFB's 2903's ?  I have seen a lot
stamped "BHO"   and I have a set stamped "K8B"

Also - I recently saw someone on eBay advertising "tags" for the 2903S
carbs; but, I have never seen a tag on an original 2903.  Any insight into
that ?

The number is correct. The "M5" is the date code. "M" is for December and
the 5 is for 1965. That is the way Carter IDed their carbs. This would be
known as a service carb.

 I have a shop that rebuilds and restores automotive carbs. I am reetired
and do this for something to do besides bother my wife. LOL I have a web
