Aussie Christopher: No help on the carb or alignment questions, but appreciate your sharing your excitement in driving your (real) 300C and stirring up the other blokes. If you will tell us what petrol costs you currently, it may ease our pain. Unleaded gasoline in central California runs about $US 2.259/US Gallon. This is $AU 3.27055/USGallon or $AU 0.86408/liter. It seems petrol was selling for about that down under some years back. What is it now? It looks like we can multiply $AU/liter by 2.6143 to get $US/USGallon at an exchange rate of 0.69071. California puts sales tax on top of wholesale price and state and federal tax, so is reaping extra tax $ from the higher price.
