Hi All:
According to Bill Carroll's 300 history article in the August-October, 1961 
Car & Driver magazines, shortly after start of production Bob Rodger began 
receiving questions about tuning the car.  His group "hurriedly mimeographed a 
sheet of specifications to help embattled owners get their equipment tuned".  
Carroll says this first sheet began a new tradition in the automotive industry, 
since it asked 300 owners to write Chrysler about their experiences with the 
new car.  (Not all were positive!)  I believe this "sheet" is probably the only 
owner's manual "supplement" that was ever produced for the C300.  I have never 
seen one, but would like to!   Of course, subsequent models----except 
(apparently) the 300D---did have owner's manual suppliments.   300ly, Gil
