Re: [Chrysler300] Reno Hot August Nights

Bob and All

I well remember 35+ years ago we (a chrysler club) would put on shows
(or attend shows) at near no cost - most anywhere. Our club (California
Chrysler products Club) stopped its annual (13 years) Fall Chrysler Meet
this year due the ever increasing rental cost for a parking lots (or
parks), a requirement to have 1 Million + liability insurance, porta
potties/wash basins rental (cost $500), Permit fees to the county for
food vending. The $25 entry fee was not going to cover costs so (We
were lucky to barely break even in the past) We scrubbed this years
show and any plans for future shows. The last three years of our show
the rent tripled to over $1000) - thus the reason car shows need to
charge entry fees - especially here in California.
