[Chrysler300] A question for K owners

Hi,

I'm trying to install the grille and am having problems.  The grille was 
removed 25 years ago, so now I can't remember what holds it all together.  The 
only fastening items left are the clips (9 of them) that go on the edge of the 
grille opening and that apparently are to receive bolts through the grille 
surround.  Once those are in place, what holds on the stainless moulding?  The 
service manual says to install the grille, then the moulding.  Since most of the 
stuff is missing, I've been trying to use universal clips from the moulding 
through the grille into the car, but can't get the nuts on the clip bolts at the 
backside of the grille.  

If someone has done this recently, please let me know how you did it.
