Folks: When I had a K convert in 1972, I met a guy working in an auto parts store in Deer Park, LI, NY (only one open on a Sunday in Suffolk County in those days!). He was from NJ and went out of his way to mention that the car was "like the pursuit troopers on the Jersey Turnpike had back then". I know he was not referring to a convert, but the overall car and it's mechanical components. This is the first I've heard of this reference in nearly 30 years, but still seems corroborative!
