Droping the pan

Have a significant leak at the rear oil pan seal(at least I hope that is where it is and not the rear main). The manual says among other things to raise the engine 3/4 inch. Any suggestion as to where to grab or lift the engine? Not too many places once you eliminate all the pan area. How about the water cross over casting?
