Exhaust system answers match my understanding exactly, but the 1965 L am/fm radio must be similar to the 64 and my radio man said they are a good AM radio with a tiny inadequate FM section sandwiched into the back as an after-thought. Far better to have the whole insides replaced with modern stuff or find one of the FM separate units sold by Radio Shack years ago that operate through one of the higher end frequencies of the AM band. I used these years ago and the FM was good and strong but you had to have the tuner showing or hidden in the glove or under the seat.
