According to a brother who's a ''plastics'' guy, the film on the windows is a result of ''outgassing'' of certain elements of the vinyl. ArmorAll might somehow make it worse, but it's a process common to any vinyl material, and the loss of these elements is what results in the vinyl's drying and hardening over time.
