The external appearance of a sure-grip rear end is identical to a regular
one. There may be a tag on one of the studs that attach it to the housing
that lists the ratio, or "use limited slip lube only". If you turn one axle,
the other should turn in the same direction if it's sure-grip equipped. The
most accurate way to tell ratio would be to remove the chuck, it's stamped
on the ring gear.
