Re: [Chrysler300] C300 trim and glass clips (hardware).

I was at a swap meet in Pleasanton Ca a couple of months ago and a fellow there had a booth which was over loaded with this type of stuff for all models of cars. Everything he stocked was well laid out in small compartments and you had to have your old components to compare to what he had in inventory as nothing was marked as what each part fit in what auto(naturally as many of these parts were used/shared by many manufacturers).

Did not get his name or address(another senior moment) but will next time I see him. Perhaps everyone can keep our eyes open for this type of vendor and report findings here.

As I'm sure many of you already know from experience, perhaps the biggest
pain in the ass during the restoration of a car is finding sources for all
the little trim and glass clips and fasteners all over the car. Reusing the
old ones or improvising similar new ones often becomes your only choices
(kind of like elections - the lesser of two evils and so on).

I have traveled to Restoration Specialties in person, and have been thru
Auveco's book also.

Anyone else know where I might continue you wild goose chase ? Finding all
the funky hardware on my current C300 and 56 Coupe DeVille projects
threatens to turn into a full time job soon...

Thanks, Sean.
