Bob and group- Both of my K's have a smooth finish. Looking up the part in the 64 parts book it lists different part numbers for this part. For the 300K it lists part #2440993 for the rear piece, VC2 all three body styles (sport 300) 2440991 rear piece, VC2 sport-front w/manual trans 2490942, auto-2499323, VC2 300K w/auto 2499324. Interesting that it does not list a part # for the front piece for the K w/manual trans, but does for the sport. The listing for the rear piece lists it as follows- 2D.H.T., Cv.Cp., VC2, 300K Aluminum, Rear 2440993 2D.H.T.,Cv.Cp., 4D.H.T., VC2 except 300K Anodized, Rear 2440991 It would appear that the K and the sport had a different finish. As I stated both of my K's and both parts cars I have had,had a smooth finish. This many years since new I don't know if the smooth finish I have is correct but seeing all 4 were/are that way I am guessing they are. What I wonder is how the "anodized" one differs in appearance from what I have? I hope this helps. Joe Pierce 300Kx2 and others. Oh Yeah- It warmed up here so that everything is melting, 44 above right now. But please tell your friends it is 44 below and it really stinks here so they won't want to move here!----- Original Message ----- From: "BobMerritt" <rcmerritt@xxxx> To: <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2003 10:34 AM Subject: [Chrysler300] K console alum > Here's a question for K people: > > I have noticed two styles of aluminum pieces on the consoles.
