Hi Hardy and all: In answer to your question, the Ditzler (PPG) paint code for Tango Red on a 1955 Chrysler is DQE-70525-DAL. See: http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/searchpic.pl?1955-chrysler-pg01.jpg I believe this source was posted on this listserver by our esteemed Mr. Wayne Graefen last November. It is a FANTASTIC resource for ALL Ditzler (PPG) paint color chips and paint codes for almost all cars from the 1920's to the present (including most imports). I have forwarded it to some friends in the WPC club and they were extremely happy to finally find such a resource. http://autocolorlibrary.com Keep in mind that the visual image of the paint chip will depend on your particular monitor settings and if you print it out it will be further subject to the vagaries of your printer settings, software and ink supply. However, these numbers are what the paint stores have used since your car was new to mix a batch of paint for it. The paint color chips that are being sold on E$$Bay and elsewhere have probably faded somewhat over the years so they are probably not any more accurate for comparing colors to your car. If, however you can find a place on your car that has been hidden from the sun and other elements over the years, and you can take that part of your car into your local paint store, they can probably match it for you. Thanks so much to Wayne for this great resource. Be sure to save the URL for future usage. My local paint store has paint chips and sheets going back to only 1956 and Tango Red isn't listed on any of them. Thanks, Hardy Graham, Jr. C300
