Re: [Chrysler300] My new C-300

The repro wheels that I have seen have a different spoke count(was it 48 verses 52???? and the lacing looked different). I have been told that their is a more accurate repro available but I have not seen. Some of the repro hubcaps are made of a sheet metal gauge which when tapped with your finger you can hear. Many parts interior and exterior are compat across the Chrysler line for 55 and 56. Sometimes if you are lucky you will run across the old Chrysler parts manuals that give the part numbers. Many parts from Dodge and more likely Desoto are compat. I found mine at a swap meet for 50 dollars.

Service manuals for 56 run 50 to 100 dollars depending on condition. Do not know about 55's.

Where did car come(state) from and what color and condition--pricing is optional but we all are always curious.

I just joined this the group. I bought the C300 that was on eBay a few
weeks ago. I picked it up today and its gunna need some love. Are the
interior trim parts (knobs, levers, windshield surround) interchangeable
with the 55 Windsor? Are the rerpo wire wheels worth the $1200? Anyone
have an extra shop manual?

Anyway, this will keep me busy for a long time. (Back in 1964-65, in high
school, I had a 57 300-C convertible!)
