- >I just did a Google search on-- P&G valve gapper --. Turn up 2 sites, one with a beautiful pair of pictures of the tool and both sites raved of it performance. > I have tried multiple search engines looking for P&G and have found nothing in the past but it would seem that the tool has not been totally forgotten. The Ed Iskenderian experiment is interesting. It would tend to show that moving valve clearances reasonable amounts will not make much difference in dynamometer HP figures. Maybe so. I would still like to see all the valves in any one engine adjusted in as precise, equal manner as possible. The intention of the tool is to take some of the skill/feel out of adjusting valves. This I think it does quite well and also in measuring absolute travel does factor out one significant wear point; rocker arm tip wear. We use electronically measured dwell to set ignition points for some of the same reasons. Warren Anderson Sedona,AZ
