Gas tank sender

Hi folks;

Anyone know were I can buy a 59 gas tank sender, my book says , anything that had a 23 Gallon ( Canadian ) tank will do . I put my old one back in and then put 10 gallons of gas in tank to discover it don't work. The gauge works when I short it off half way back to the tank , so I'm thinking sender ?
