Hi Chris, Chrysler made special tools for this, that and the other thing. Most were bought by dealers - the arerage garage never had them . You won't need whatever this tool is to diagnose and repair your fuel gauge problem. Does the gauge go back down to zero when you turn the ignition off? If it does not, and stays on "full " all the time, the culprit is the gauge itself. If the gauge goes back to "zero" with key off, and pins itself with key on no matter how much fuel is in the tank, the next step is to unplug the fuel sender wire at sender At this point, the gauge should read "empty" with the key in the "on" position. If gauge still reads "full" with sender unplugged, then there is a short in the wiring between sender and gauge that you will have to locate this short. If gauge now reads "empty" with sender unplugged, then the problem is in the sender, and that needs to be removed, and either replaced or overhauled. Please perform this simple diagnostic tests and let us know the outcome.
