Re: [Chrysler300] 390hp 300C Road test car?

I can tell you that the Park Police in Potomic State Park in MD, had at
least the "C" engines in several patrol cars. In 1957, my best bud bought a
'57 fury, and established quite a rep in the area. We finally came across
the Park Police and they had quietly been racing with the boys. If they won,
you got a ticket, If you won, you kept going. Usually done at night, and
there wasn't many straight roads in the park, so it was quite exciting.
Long story short, we won, and they wanted to compare cars. I saw the dual
quads, and I think 3" exhaust. I don't think it was a "C", but it could have
been. I'm sure it was a 2 door hardtop. Close, but we beat them, probably
due to the Fury being lighter.

There was also a '57 Ford coupe with a factory supercharger that ran all the
cops ragged..........but that's another story for the meet.

Hope to see all y'all in PA in May!
