I called Steer & gear today and got a quote of $395 to rebuild an 
aluminum 1955 Chrysler steering box with a time frame of 1-2 weeks.  
Would have to ship them the whole column.  I've got some checking to do 
to make sure the steering wheel slop is in the steering box, not other 
steering components.  Box is also leaking PS fluid.  Not looking forward 
to pulling the column & box if I don't have to.
