Yes hello Charlie, Paul and everyone! Your first assumption is right Charlie about accessibility to the nuts holding turn signal switch in place hence one CAN get to them without going back behind the dash. Once those nuts are removed (preferrably with screwdriver-like handle, w/ socket directly on end), switch can be carefully 'worked' down and out through a lot of other wires that will want to catch and tangle with the whole turn signal switch assembly but with a little patience, can be removed or installed. Once switch is out 'dangling', it can be disconnected. My switch if I can remember needed some pretty firm pressure for disconnection. If you can hold harness with one hand and pull switch with other (provided you can get both hands up there in the small place), that's a good way to go! As for the headlight switch, I had got that out one time as well but the way I did it, was wrong (pulling knob off then fishing out the switch behind dash with intentions of simply super gluing knob back on when finished). I'm not exactly sure word for word what some recent advice was on this but seem to remember atleaste that knob AND stem come out together AFTER something is pressed and/or released behind the dash on switch. It's better than yanking off knob! Hope I was of some help!! Sincerely and 300ly, Brandt H. I thought that the 2 nuts were accessible right from the front , but I may be wrong and if so you have to reach from behind the dash to get at them. Hope this helps...Just going by memory.
