In the event any of the Michigan residents are not aware of House 
Bill 4362, now in committee in Lansing (following from Hagerty):
  
BILL TO EXPAND USE OF HISTORIC VEHICLES AND REDUCE MCCA FEES PENDING 
IN MICHIGAN
  
The MCCA is going up again! By now, you've probably heard that the 
MCCA fee is going up yet again. The 2005-2006 assessment is set at 
$141.70 per vehicle?that's up $14.00 over last year's fees! It's 
more important than ever to support H.B. 4362.
  
H.B. 4362 means you won't be restricted to parades, club activities 
or exhibitions. You will be able to take the car to get an ice cream 
cone or simply for a Sunday drive.
  
H.B. 4362 will provide much needed relief from the MCCA annual fee?
vehicles with historic registrations pay just 20% of the MCCA fee, 
$28.34 per vehicle for 2005-2006.
 
H.B. 4362 allows reasonable usage for vehicles registered as 
historic, thereby reducing registration fees. Historic registration 
fees are currently just $30 every 10 years.
 
H.B. 4362 enhances Michigan's reputation as the automotive capital 
of the world by allowing reasonable usage of historic vehicles.
 
H.B. 4362 is currently sitting in front of the House Transportation 
Committee. Contact your Representatives and Senators in Lansing and 
urge them to support H.B. 4362!
