Re: [Chrysler300] once again - listserver rules

Agreed 100 percent. If only Chrysler 300's and nothing else related to the old car hobby is permitted, and NOTHING that has been discussed before, then I also suggest that this website is irrelevant. I have only been a member of the club for 20 or 30 years so perhaps I have not seen EVERY topic covered in detail at one time or another in the past. And being a short time member compared to the really senior members perhaps I am not permitted to speak out. I guess I should read the bylaws(I am sure that it is covered) to find what I am permitted. If only those topics that have never before been discussed before are permitted, then perhaps we all can spend our time reading emails on really important topics like the latest deals on Viagra and instead of doing really stupid things like acting like neighbors who gossip over the backyard fence(300's are not like Chevy's where you probably have a 100 old Chevy owners within a 5 mile radius of your home and you can drive down the street and visit with them or at the monthly club meeting) with them regarding their favorite automobile.

I belong to 5 other forums(2 motorcycle, 1 on Tivo, 1 on Corvettes, and 1 on Home Theatre stuff). In none of these do I see such rigid, prickly, no sense of humor hostility. Perhaps I am politically incorrect but Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Schwandt get my vote. Anyone who thinks that auto insurance is not a topic of interest to some owners is mistaken and if bothered by such postings, hit the delete key. The ram manifolds on 300's is of zero interest to me(and we have seen numerous postings on them, many of them repetitions) but what is of interest is the problems and questions that other members are experiencing(whether relevant to my B) so I even follow the discussions of them, along with non letter 300's and the latest repro tail light for 300 k's. Again my hard drive has a lot of space and my delete key is not worn out.

When does the ground war begin?

More open minds are needed. Differences of opinion do not constitute "hate mail".

At least here in Maryland we need insurance to drive.even my lowly 66 300. I appreciate any and all information related to keeping these cars legally, safely and comfortably on the road. A few additional (delete) keystrokes will not do irreparable harm to me. Unfortunately, as I am not a mind reader with knowledge of who is interested in my question or issue, let alone be able to respond to it, global distribution is indicated. How can one know who "not to offend with an "incorrect question" ?

  Who censors the censors?

You claimed to speak for me in your statements " - They (the insurance emails) have absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever. Therefore, of no interest to the members of this list and please reply to each other privately if your reply has little or no value to the other 450 members of this list". I assure you, you do not speak for me.

Referring to the last e-mails on the "car insurance" thread:

1/ They has absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever. Therefore, they do not belong on this listserver, period.
2/ They have absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever. Therefore, of no interest to the members of this list.
3/ They have absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever. They should have been addressed directly to whoever they were meant for.
4/ They have absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever. Now, 450 individual members of this list have had to hit their "delete" keys to erase.
5/ They have absolutely no Chrysler 300 content whatsoever.

Now: what part of "matters pertaining DIRECTLY to Chrysler 300's" do members of this list not understand? is this such a difficult concept to grasp?

So - once again - here we go: this listserver is a PRIVATE listserver, owned and operated by the Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc. for current, dues-paying members. Any e-mail posted to this listserver must be "on-topic" - namely, have relevant Chrysler 300 related content.

Any listserver member who does not comply with this VERY SIMPLE rule will find his or her listserver privileges suspended. Anyone unhappy with the aforementioned rule and who might wish to start their own listserver is quite welcome to do so.

Thank you all for your cooperation. As usual, please send any hate mail replies directly to me at: crossram@xxxxxxxxxxxxx . And - please reply to each other privately if your reply has little or no value to the other 450 members of this list. This whole situation would have been avoided if Dave S.'s inquiry had been replied to privately by whoever felt like replying to him.
