Ray, A couple ago, when rebuilding and souping the 383 in my 66/300, I swapped my original Carter 4131 for an Edelbrock 1411. What I discovered in the process is that the bolt pattern on the 1411 was larger and would not fit the original intake manifold. It did fit a manifold that I got from a '70 Roadrunner, however,--which I'm now using in my '66. Also, I had to use Edelbrock's throttle linkage adapter, which works fine. I don't know about a 1404, but it would be worth checking the fit before you buy. Your '64K is a totally different animal than my '66, and a 1404 may bolt right up.
